Four people were killed and nine others were injured in a shooting in Louisville, Kentucky, on October 24. The gunman was a 23-year-old employee, according to police.

According to the Louisville MPD, Connor Sturgeon, a syndications associate and portfolio banker for Old National Bank, brought a weapon to work and shot and murdered four of his coworkers before turning the gun on himself.

During a gun battle, he severely injured a law enforcement official. Sturgeon was pronounced dead at the scene, although it is unclear if he shot himself or was shot by a police officer.

The suspect has been found dead. In a news conference, Louisville Interim Chief Jacquelyn Gwinn-Villaroel identified the suspect as Connor Sturgeon, a Caucasian guy aged 23 who worked at Old National Bank.

Sturgeon had worked as an intern at the Old National Bank for three years in a row before being hired on full-time in April of 2022, as seen on his LinkedIn profile. He was on the payroll at the time of the shooting.
