At a meeting of Regional School Unit 67 in Maine, conservative activist Tim Bodnar confronted board members over a teacher who allegedly mocked the recently slain activist Charlie Kirk. The teacher has since been placed on leave.
During the heated exchange, Bodnar accused the district of promoting “communist propaganda” and hurled insults at Board Chair Dianne Buck. In response, Board Member Andrew Funaro defended Buck, then struck Bodnar’s phone from his hand, prompting police involvement and the abrupt adjournment of the meeting.
School officials say they are reviewing the teacher’s conduct and reiterated that the district does not condone violence. Local police have launched an investigation into the confrontation.
