A few months ago a GOP Women’s Headquarters was firebombed and partially burned. Police have now arrested Carlos Espriu, 23, and charged him with the attack. He can’t plead not guilty because the entire attack was caught on camera. He obviously never thought he would get caught.

He now faces up to twenty years in prison for the firebombing. the East Valley Republican Women Federated offices in La Quinta  was firebombed om May 31st. It took a long time to identify the man on the video. He is also responsible for the damage to the headquarters.

The video shows a man dressed in all black as he begins breaking out the windows with a baseball bat. He then tosses some Molotov cocktails into the building. That did not do the trick, so he retrieved the bottles, broke out more windows and tossed in the Molotov cocktails.

Joy Miedece, the president of the women’s organization said:

“It’s just kind of that thing that hangs on to you and makes you feel not comfortable all the time, when you have something like that happen. You’re violated, you’re absolutely violated.”

    The police announced:

“Investigators determined that Espriu was attending a party in Indio on Sept. 9 and stopped a vehicle he was driving when he left the party.”
