Don Rosenberg’s son was murdered by someone in this country illegally and he’s “furious” at California, specifically Governor Jerry Brown, for singing the sanctuary state bill.
“I’m furious, and I’m waiting now for the Justice Department to go after these guys,” the father, Don Rosenberg said. “It’s not just outrageous what they’re doing, it’s illegal.”
“This has been going on for years, and it certainly wasn’t unexpected on my part,” he added. “We have laws and that’s what made this country a great country. And those laws have to be followed.”
He feels that the Governor is betraying the American people; essentially giving special treatment over law-abiding citizens.
“He [Brown] made a comment when he signed the bill that this was a balance of public safety versus reducing the fear of those here illegally … There is no balance between criminals and public safety,” Rosenberg said. “Everybody should be fearful. As a matter of fact, those people that are here illegally and haven’t committed other crimes should be fearful too. Because they weren’t a target to be deported but now they’re going to be.”
“Whatever starts in California ends up going across the nation. So If we can defeat it here, it will be a lot harder for it to take hold some place else,” he concluded.
Rosenberg’s son, Drew Rosenberg, was killed by Roberto Galo in 2010, an illegal immigrant from Honduras. Drew was on his motorcycle in San Francisco, when Galo made a last-second turn and collided with him. Galo continuously ran over Drew’s body in an attempt to flee.
In another interview, he vented his frustration over DACA: “Our position is you don’t do anything about DACA until you take care of everything else with illegal immigration and I’m very nervous about that one,” Rosenberg said.
I don’t know about you but I’d say he’s a man who knows a thing or two about it…
