Timothy Craig Ramsey, 26, is wanted by authorities in north Georgia for allegedly shooting McCaysville Police Captain Brantley Worley in the throat late Friday night. A statewide notice has been issued because Ramsey is deemed dangerous and armed.

After being taken to a hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Captain Worley is still in serious condition due to fluid in his lungs, a broken neck, and brain hemorrhage.

According to the description, Ramsey is a Caucasian man who is 5′ 11″ tall, weighs roughly 185 pounds, has blue eyes and long brown hair. He was last observed sporting a motorbike helmet, green jeans, and a shirt.

The public is being urged to report any sightings or information that could result in Ramsey’s capture, as a Blue Alert has been issued.

Worley, who has been a police captain for three years, is also acknowledged for his community service.

In order to follow leads and find the suspect, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is spearheading the manhunt and collaborating with regional organizations.
