Mexico Takes Swipe At Trump In Wake Of “Illegal Caravan” Breakup

Mexico has announced that they are breaking up the caravan of illegals marching through their country and heading for the United States. The will make them disband in Oaxaca on Wednesday.

The most vulnerable of the caravan will get visas and everyone else will have to apply to stay or go home. When asked, JO Rodríguez replied that this action was not related to the threats made by President Trump. I call BS.

The press and the Democrats constantly dump on Trump for his brashness in foreign policies but instead of the US backing down, it’s the other guys going in reverse.

Do you have any doubt about whether the caravan would have made the border under Clinton/Bush/Obama? They would have been met by the welcome wagon. Chauffeured limousines, caviar, Chateaubriand and a whole wine list to choose from.

Then after that, you would get a second and third caravan. As soon as you take the incentive out of coming to America, people will stop coming.

Embedded Buzzfeed reporter, Adolfo Flores has been reporting via Twitter:

“Mexican immigration authorities said they plan on disbanding the Central American caravan by Wednesday in Oaxaca. The most vulnerable will get humanitarian visas.”

“Everyone else in the caravan, which has traveled through Mexico for days from Chiapas, will have to petition the Mexican government for permission to stay in the country or will have to leave.”

“JO Rodríguez, a federal delegate with INM, told me this was not in response to Trump speaking out against the caravan. “Mexico is acting without pressure to find a solution to this problem.””

“Gina Garibo, an organizer with Pueblos Sin Fronteras, said the caravan was not over. They will continue to travel towards the US with asylum seekers.“We will continue,” Garibo said. “We have to follow through with our promise.””

“At the end of the day these people have the right to ask for asylum,” Garibo said.”

President Trump has been putting pressure on Mexico by threatening to kill NAFTA. He has also threatened to cut foreign aid:

“Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!”

“Mexico is making a fortune on NAFTA…They have very strong border laws – ours are pathetic. With all of the money they make from the U.S., hopefully they will stop people from coming through their country and into ours, at least until Congress changes our immigration laws!”

Mexico still insists Trump had nothing to do with it. The New York Times, the WaPo, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS and the Boston Globe all agree with them.

    Again, I call BS.
