In an attempt to expose Fani Willis, the district attorney for Fulton County, of having an illegal contact with Nathan Wade, the special prosecutor in the investigation of former President Donald Trump’s election meddling, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has filed a criminal misconduct charge against her. Greene (R-Ga.) filed a complaint on Wednesday, requesting a probe into Willis’ relationship with Wade, whom Greene refers to as Willis’ “secret boyfriend.”

Greene announced this move on social media, expressing her displeasure with Willis’ attention to Trump, whom she regards as Joe Biden’s main political opponent, rather than Georgia’s crime problem. Greene stressed in her statement that the accusations made against Willis and Wade must be looked into very away.

The complaint is based on allegations that Willis may have profited financially from designating Wade—her purported love partner—as the special prosecutor in Trump’s legal matter. According to the accusations, the two visited the Napa Valley and the Caribbean together. Willis’ activities, according to Greene, were part of an unlawful pattern in which she used her position to politically criticize President Trump and tamper with the 2024 presidential election.

These claims were first made by Michael Roman, one of Trump’s co-defendants in Willis’ RICO investigation, who was charged for interfering with the 2020 presidential election in Georgia. Willis’s “improper, clandestine personal relationship” with Wade, according to Roman’s lawyer Ashleigh Merchant, compromised the credibility of the Trump case.

Willis, who is presently being called upon to provide testimony in Wade’s divorce case, is charged with having had a personal relationship with Wade prior to and following his designation as special prosecutor. Wade claims that this romance started when he was still married. A new level of intricacy has been added to the current legal processes involving the Georgia election tampering case by serving Willis with a subpoena at her Atlanta office.
