Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has raised speculation that Arizona might be the next state to indict former President Donald Trump in connection with his alleged efforts to overturn the 2020 election results. Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Greene expressed her belief that a grand conspiracy orchestrated by the Democratic Party is utilizing both federal and state justice systems to influence the 2024 election outcomes.

Greene stated, “Well, I’m sure Arizona is next. This is a conspiracy, a grand conspiracy by the Democrat Party to use the justice system at the federal level, but also in the states, using these state D.A.’s like in Georgia, Fani Willis.” She further elaborated that similar strategies are being employed in other states, including New York, as part of a larger collaboration to impact the upcoming elections.

The scrutiny on Trump’s post-election actions has expanded to Arizona, where Attorney General Kris Mayes confirmed their office’s investigation into the alleged use of fake electors after the 2020 election. There have been talks of a potential fifth indictment against the former president in Arizona.

Greene contended that these efforts are aimed at “stealing” the 2024 election from Donald Trump and accused authorities of attempting to imprison him. She argued that despite these legal challenges, Trump is poised to triumph in the Republican primary and emerge victorious in the general election.

Recently, a Georgia grand jury indicted Trump and 18 others on charges connected to their alleged attempts to undermine the 2020 state election results. Greene asserted that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who filed the charges, is herself guilty of similar crimes under the state’s RICO act. Greene raised concerns about the fairness of Trump’s trial and labeled the indictments against him as “pure communism.”

Expressing her support for Trump, Greene emphasized the potential impact of various factors on the election outcome, including gas prices, food prices, inflation, and security. She commended Trump’s past presidential record, highlighting his border security measures and efforts to address inflation. Greene’s vocal endorsement of Trump’s policies and her speculation about future indictments underscore the ongoing political tension surrounding the former president and the upcoming elections.

In addition to her political statements, Greene’s role in Congress and aspirations for higher office have garnered attention. Despite her relatively short time in Congress, Greene has raised the possibility of becoming Trump’s running mate and has not ruled out a Senate run in 2026. Her bold statements and active participation in political discourse have solidified her presence in the Republican Party’s landscape.
