Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) expressed caution about the potential impeachment of President Joe Biden in a recent interview, warning that Republicans must build a strong case before taking such a step. She emphasized the significance of upcoming testimony from Devon Archer, a former business associate of Hunter Biden, and the need to fact-check and corroborate information from various witnesses and whistleblowers.
Mace highlighted that evidence from the House Oversight Committee’s investigation into the Biden family is accumulating, but some confidential information cannot be shared at this stage. She stressed the importance of eventually releasing all relevant information to the American people.
Addressing the divide among congressional Republicans on the impeachment issue, Mace distinguished between an impeachment inquiry and an impeachment vote. She expressed concern about potential risks to moderate members and those holding Biden-won districts, as well as the overall majority in the House, if they proceed without substantial evidence. Mace urged her fellow Republicans to follow the facts and avoid politicizing the impeachment process, aiming for overwhelming and undeniable evidence before taking any further steps.
