Nancy Pelosi may be dishonest, but she’s no fool politically anyway. She was asked about whether she supported Ilhan Omar’s disgusting comment on the 911 attack. She sidestepped the question several times.

Not so Tom Perez of the DNC and presidential contenders Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. They support the CAIR fundraiser without reservation. Pelosi is smarter than that. Although she wouldn’t condemn the remarks made by the anti-Semitic Omar, she didn’t even come close to endorsing her.

Pelosi explained that she wanted to talk to Omar before deciding what she should do but had been unable to contact her because she was in transit.

    From The Daily Caller

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi dodged a question from a reporter Friday about Democratic Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar’s recent comments on the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“I haven’t had the opportunity to speak with [Rep. Omar] to see the nature of her comment and, as is my custom with my colleagues, I call them in before I call them out so I’ll look forward to hearing from her,” Pelosi told reporters at a press conference.

Omar, who has been backed by many of her progressive colleagues, doubled down on her statement, claiming that the anger is misguided and used to incite violence against her.

She also tweeted on Friday, wondering aloud if former President George W. Bush was trivializing 9/11 with his famous “Bullhorn Speech” when he said, in part, “The people — and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!”

“Was Bush downplaying the terrorist attack?” Omar asked on Twitter. “What if he was a Muslim?”

There is a huge difference between Bush’s comment and Omar’s. At the time Bush made his comment the identities of the terrorists was not yet confirmed but they are confirmed now.
