Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley compared Pelosi’s remarks to McCarthyism, while GOP operative Steve Guest highlighted the potential reaction if a Republican had made a similar statement. Pelosi was presumably referring to a New York Times report linking Code Pink to a Chinese propaganda network. Recently, Pelosi suggested that protesters calling for a ceasefire in Gaza might be “connected to Russia,” a claim she made on CNN. She indicated a connection to Putin’s message and a long-held suspicion of Russian involvement.
Fox News Digital reached out to Pelosi’s office for comment but did not receive a response. Code Pink spokesperson Melissa Garriga dismissed the accusations of Chinese propaganda, asserting that both Democrats and Republicans use such claims to discredit their anti-war stance. Code Pink issued a press release addressing Pelosi’s allegations, emphasizing their desire to end foreign wars and American imperialism.
