Jonathan Isaac, an outspoken Christian, NBA star, and Daily Wire author, officially launched his new sports apparel brand, “UNITUS,” at a star-studded event in Orlando, Florida. During a “fireside chat” with Brett Cooper from The Daily Wire, Isaac shared the inspiration behind the brand, which is centered on faith, family, and freedom.
Isaac credited his pastor, Durone Hepburn, for suggesting the name “UNITUS,” which originated from the idea of starting a sneaker company. However, it evolved into a brand that encourages people to align their purchases with their values.
The cornerstone of UNITUS is “true greatness,” which Isaac explained as embodying and striving towards the values they want to see celebrated in the marketplace and culture. He emphasized that genuine greatness is not defined by worldly accolades but by their faith in Jesus Christ.
In 2020, Isaac made headlines for refusing to kneel during the national anthem as part of the Black Lives Matter protests, citing his Christian beliefs. He later wrote the book “Why I Stand” to share his perspective and inspire others to stand for their values.
UNITUS aims to be a unifying force, bringing people together around shared principles of faith, family, freedom, and true greatness. The brand offers a range of clothing for adults and youth and promotes a community of individuals dedicated to living with integrity and standing for what is right.
The launch event featured athletes and conservative figures, with attendees expressing their support for UNITUS as an alternative to brands with divisive agendas. Isaac hopes that UNITUS will become a community where people can embrace and strive towards their shared values, regardless of their background or financial status.
