Alqam Khayri, 21, a native of eastern Jerusalem, was the terrorist who was shot and killed by police.
The next morning, a 13-year-old terrorist struck a gathering of Israeli visitors outside of Jerusalem’s Old City. both the father’s son and the man were critically hurt. The death of the younger soldier occurred while he was off duty. He and another member of the group shot the terrorist.
Netanyahu made the statement at the opening of an emergency security cabinet meeting, saying, “Whoever seeks to injure us, we will hurt him and those who help him.”
