CNN took a poll on the enthusiasm gap in the upcoming election between Donald Trump and either Joe Biden or Bernie Sanders. The gap is 15 points. Just how important is the enthusiasm gap? In 2010, Republicans flipped 61 House seats and six Senate seats. The enthusiasm gap in 2010 was seven points. People who are enthusiastic about a candidate or an election are much more apt to vote and when enthusiasm is low, they have a tendency to stay home.
Individual race polling also shows a return of enthusiasm for the Republicans. In the seven districts in Southern California that the Democrats flipped in 2018, Republicans now lead in six of those districts and the 7th is within striking distance. The signs that the Republicans are poised to flip the House back to their control is looking extremely good. It figures. Americans want members of congress who pull for them not illegal aliens and transgenders.
The Democrats have managed to shoot themselves in the foot again. They lost their majority over Obamacare in 2010 and they will lose this year over impeachment and the Democrat’s advocacy of illegal aliens over tax paying Americans. We just have to watch and make sure we maintain that gap for the next eight months. If we do, we can reclaim our country in 2021 and it will be better than last time when we had a RINO named Paul Ryan leading the House.
Trump voters have a 15 point lead over Democrats in enthusiasm.
