Needing a story and never being afraid to fudge the facts, a New York Times writer, Adam Goldman (yup again) as well as Nick Confessore claimed that during a commercial for the NRA, spokeswoman Dana Loesch “threatened” to “fist” the NYTimes.
The only problem is… she said FISK.

“The National Rifle Association on Thursday released a new video featuring spokeswoman Dana Loesch appears to threaten to ‘fist’ the New York Times,” reported Raw Story, a left-wing blog, adding: “Yep, fist.”
Except this is all Very Fake News.
On Friday night, New York Times reporters Adam Goldman and Nick Confessore and New York Magazine contributor Yashar Ali accused NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch of threatening to “fist” the NYT in an ad for the pro-Second Amendment group.
But, as can be viewed in the video below, Loesch says “fisk,” not “fist.”

As reported by Washington Examiner:
“Consider this a shot across your proverbial bow,” she says. “We’re going to Fisk the New York Times and find out just what deep rich means to this old gray hag.”
Journalists, including Yashar Ali, Adam Goldman, and Dave Weigel, expressed shock on Twitter because they thought she had said “fist,” as opposed to “Fisk,” which is a slang term that means debunking stories and is a reference to Robert Fisk of the Independent. According to a Guardian article back in 2005, the word “Fisking” became popular because his columns were considered to “soft targets.”
Loesch called out all three of these journalists in a tweet, saying, “People ask why I’m hostile towards certain media. Because of stunts like what [Goldman, Ali, and Weigel] pull.”
