A woman from New Jersey called Brianna Pinnix is shown on a video that has gone viral belittling a group of German tourists as they were traveling on a New Jersey Transit train. The incident took place in Germany. As a direct result of the publication of the video, Pinnix received a great deal of backlash from members of the general public and ultimately lost her position as a talent acquisition expert at Capital Rx. Pinnix can be seen in the clip approaching the tourists in a belligerent manner, demanding them to leave the country, and even giving one of the internationals a pleasant touch on the shoulder. Her acts have been met with a significant amount of criticism on various social media platforms.
Pinnix’s employer, Capital Rx, reacted swiftly to the incident by stating that they have a “zero-tolerance policy around prejudicial or discriminatory behavior” and confirming that she will be terminated as a direct result of the policy. They expressed their sympathy to those people whose lives had been turned upside down as a direct result of her actions and offered their condolences.
Conversations on her behavior and her boyfriend’s attempts to defuse the stressful situation were sparked as a result of the film, which swiftly gained traction on social media and became viral almost immediately. A significant number of people left comments on the internet, many of which were critical of her behavior and asked her spouse to consider ending the relationship for the sake of his own mental health.
New Jersey Transit has issued a similar condemnation of the behavior of Pinnix and has requested that passengers report such incidents to train crew members or to the NJ TRANSIT Police.
Pinnix has not addressed the event or the report that she was terminated from her position at Capital Rx in any type of public statement or response.
