Obama Proposes Ban On American’s Gun Rights

The Democratic Party will do everything in its power to prevent Americans from using their God-given liberties.

Former President Obama advocated for a ban on gun ownership in the United States, like the one in place in Australia, to prevent mass shootings.

The Australian government banned mass shootings after just one incident 50 years ago. A quote from Obama to CBS’s Nate Burleson When your children are in danger, that is the kind of response society typically gives you. We are the only modern, industrialized country that routinely accepts shootings, mass shootings, and suicides as part of daily life.

When asked to explain his position on gun regulation, Obama ignored the Second Amendment’s guarantee of the freedom to bear arms. Instead, he said that the right to bear arms has evolved into an “ideological and partisan issue.”

Obama also said that the media in the United States is to blame for the fact that gun ownership is now a contentious issue in the country’s cultural wars.

According to the website of the Australian Parliament, “First, and in contrast to the position in the United States, there is no legal right to gun ownership.” This is essentially the case for all inhabitants of Australia. In Australia, only those with a “genuine reason” are allowed to acquire, own, or use firearms; “self-protection” does not qualify as a “genuine reason.”

In order to legally own a handgun in the country, one must first obtain a firearm license and justify their need for a gun for reasons other than self-defense.

After a tragic shooting at the Allen Premium Outlets mall in Dallas, Texas, earlier this month, Vice President Joe Biden urged tighter gun legislation.

He accused Republicans of being the reason why little was done to outlaw firearms in the United States. Several states under Democratic control have prohibited assault firearms, and Vice President Biden has bragged about his administration’s expansion of these contentious “red flag” regulations.
