Nellie Ohr, who worked for Fusion GPS and whose husband was a high ranking DOJ official who passed her information on to the FBI admitted that she was rooting for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and that she would not have been comfortable doing opposition research against her.
That information was false by the way. So, she admitted that she had a motive for feeding fake information to the FBI. She also admitted that one of her sources for the dossier was Serhiy Leshchenko. Serhiy Leshchenko is under investigation in Ukraine for interfering in the 2016 elections in the United States.
They have him on tape saying that he did so to help Hillary win the election.
Rep. Doug Collins released transcript of Nellie Ohr’s October testimony to the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday.
Nellie Ohr, Fusion GPS contractor and wife of twice-demoted DOJ official Bruce Ohr, told members of Congress that she “favored” Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election.
Nellie Ohr admitted to lawmakers that she would have been “less comfortable” doing oppo research that would have harmed Hillary Clinton.
“I would probably have been less comfortable doing opposition research that would have gone against Hillary Clinton,” Nellie Ohr said.
“And why is that?” a congressional aide asked Nellie Ohr.
“Because I favored Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate,” said Nellie Ohr.
Bruce Ohr worked as a backchannel between the oppo researchers, dossier author Christopher Steele and the FBI.
The FBI terminated Christopher Steele as a ‘confidential human source’ on November 1st, 2016 for communicating with media contacts which is a violation of policy for informants.
Bruce Ohr continued to funnel info from Christopher Steele to the FBI after the former British spy was fired by the bureau.
