Late Saturday, a wedding celebration at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, New Hampshire, took a terrible turn when a shooter opened fire, leaving one man dead and several others injured.
Robert Steven DeCesare, age 59, was identified as the victim. Hunter Nadeau, 23, of Nashua, was taken into custody by police at the site. Second-degree murder is the charge against him; other charges are anticipated as the investigation continues.
Although they did not discover any proof of a direct relationship between Nadeau and the victim, they did confirm that he had worked at the country club around a year prior.
During the attack, witnesses said the suspect yelled things like “Free Palestine” and “The children are safe.” Surveillance evidence proved there was just one shooter, despite initial misunderstanding that led to rumors of many shooters.
Nadeau is set to be arraigned, and investigators are now compiling additional evidence. As the community struggles with the horrific brutality, police have urged anyone with information about the crime to come forward.
