Other Female Officers Linked to Disgraced NYPD Chief Earn Massive Overtime, Records Reveal

Two additional female officers with close ties to former NYPD Chief Jeffrey Maddrey have come under scrutiny for reportedly earning substantial overtime pay and other financial perks, raising further questions about favoritism and financial accountability within the department.

The officers, whose identities have not been publicly disclosed, allegedly received significant payouts through overtime opportunities and other benefits, sparking concerns about the potential misuse of departmental resources. These revelations follow a broader investigation into Maddrey’s tenure, which has already been marred by allegations of misconduct and preferential treatment.

Internal records indicate that the officers were among the highest earners in their respective roles, with some insiders alleging that their connection to Maddrey may have influenced their access to these lucrative opportunities. “There’s a pattern here that can’t be ignored,” said one law enforcement source familiar with the situation.

Critics argue that such practices undermine morale within the department and erode public trust in the NYPD. “When resources are allocated unfairly, it damages the integrity of the entire force,” said a police accountability advocate.

Supporters of the officers contend that their earnings reflect hard work and dedication, pointing out that high overtime pay is common in law enforcement due to staffing shortages and increasing demands on officers. “These women have done nothing wrong—they’ve simply taken advantage of opportunities available to them,” said one union representative.

The department has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the latest allegations but has pledged to review overtime policies to ensure transparency and fairness.

As the investigation continues, the case underscores broader concerns about accountability and the equitable distribution of resources within one of the nation’s largest police forces. Observers say the outcome could prompt significant changes in how the NYPD manages overtime and other discretionary perks.
