Pelosi’s Impeachment Effort Backfires. Congressional GOP Now More Popular Than Dems

The Democrats insisted that they had a great case against President Trump, when in reality they had nothing. Everyone warned them that a phony impeachyment would backfire on them but Pelosi caved to the radical elements of her party and pushed ahead. But Democrats get a bad rap. The truth is it’s 99.4% of them make the rest look bad.

According to the latest Gallup polling, voters have a more favorable opinion of Congressional Republicans than they do of Democrats by a 40 to 35% margin. The last poll before impeachment showed the Democrats were ahead byan 38 to 34% margin. That’s a nine point swing over impeachment. Pelosi has put 31 moderate Democrats in danger of losing their seats in the House and the Republicans only need to win 18 of them to take back control.

President Trump’s popularity also shot up during impeachment and the plurality of voters believe he will win a second term. And with the House back in Republican hands Trump can ram his agenda through Congress and he can sign it into law. In the Senate, Republicans are a lock to win at least one seat being held by the Democrats. Doug Jones in Alabama is almost a sure thing to lose his Senate seat n Alabama in all like;ihood to Republican Tommy Tuberville.

    From The Daily Wire

Someone prepare House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for some bad news: her impeachment efforts boosted the popularity of congressional Republicans so that now more Americans approve of congressional Republicans’ job performance than congressional Democrats’ performance.

That news comes from the latest Gallup poll released on Tuesday, the first time Gallup has asked that question since the Dec. 18 impeachment of President Trump in the U.S. House of Representatives. 40% of respondents approved of congressional Republicans while 35% approved of congressional Democrats.

Gallup pointed out that Republicans’ approval of congressional Republicans rose 13 points to 76% since October while Democrats’ 65% approval remained at the same general plateau.
