Pete Davidson finds himself at odds with the Animal Rights Movement, leading to a heated exchange.

The 29-year-old comedian fired back at Daphna Nachminovitch, senior vice president of Cruelty Investigations, telling her to “suck my d – – k” after she expressed disappointment in his decision to shop for a pet instead of adopting. Davidson’s visit to a pet store in New York City had caught Nachminovitch’s attention.

TMZ obtained a voicemail left by Davidson for Nachminovitch, where he explained, “My mom’s f – – king dog, who is 2 years old, died a week ago, and we’re all devastated. So, I had to find a specific dog.”

In the aftermath of the recent loss of their family dog, Henry, the former “Saturday Night Live” cast member revealed that the puppy he acquired was actually for his mother. Davidson clarified that he chose a Cavapoo, a hypoallergenic breed known for its low-shed coat, as he is “severely allergic” to dogs.

Taking aim at Nachminovitch, Davidson criticized her lack of knowledge and suggested she educate herself before fabricating news articles. He considered her remarks “uninformed and premature.”

The comedian then resorted to profanity, telling her to “f – – k off” and ending the call.

Initially, PETA urged Davidson to demonstrate compassion by adopting animals rather than purchasing them. However, the organization later contradicted itself, telling TMZ that there is no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic dog and claiming that Davidson could have adopted the breed he acquired from a pet store in NYC.

Davidson, in response, explained that he had been informed that adopting a specific hypoallergenic dog was not an option or extremely rare. When he asked about the possibility, he received that explanation.

In a statement to TMZ, Davidson attributed his reaction to the grief he and his family were experiencing due to Henry’s passing. He shared that it had been over a decade since he had seen his mother and sister so upset and that he was trying to uplift their spirits. He also expressed frustration at the pet store for recording him without permission or notification, adding that PETA’s public spectacle only added insult to injury.

While acknowledging the clumsiness of his choice of words, Davidson stood by his stance, stating that he would not apologize for protecting his loved ones during a challenging time.
