In a shocking incident at a pool party, Blair Featherman, a woman known for her racist tirade against a Latino family, faced personal and financial turmoil as she declared bankruptcy in 2019. The details from court documents obtained by DailyMail.com painted a picture of her financial struggles and limited resources during that time.
Featherman’s bankruptcy filing revealed that she had minimal funds, with just $100 in her checking account and $20 in cash at the time. The Lakewood resident, a mother of two, filed for bankruptcy in 2019, and the case was closed in June 2022. According to the documents, Featherman earned $14,088 in 2018 and $42,670 in 2017. She also received child support totaling $31,200 in 2018 and $37,440 in the previous year.
Her bankruptcy case indicated a $2,493 judgment against her by Synchrony Bank, while she claimed $1,440 in unemployment for 2018. Featherman listed various debts, including $57,263 in student loans, owed taxes of $17,000 to the IRS, and $1,500 to the Colorado Department of Revenue. She also had outstanding attorney fees exceeding $39,000.
Despite her claims of familiarity with luxury brands like Hermes, Featherman’s bankruptcy filing revealed modest possessions. She reported having $400 worth of items in her closet, a TV and laptop valued at $300, and a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee worth $19,413. Additionally, she listed $1,500 for furniture and various household items.
Featherman previously worked as an art consultant and a feng shui expert, operating her own home staging and interior design business called Spatial Flow By Design Inc. However, her former employer, Master’s Gallery Denver, distanced themselves from her and condemned her actions and statements.
The viral video capturing Featherman’s racist outburst at the pool party showed her verbally assaulting a Latino family and being restrained by a man from her own group. The incident garnered widespread attention, with the woman later facing criticism and social media backlash.
It remains unclear who reported the incident to the police.
