Savanah Nicole Soto, an 18-year-old pregnant adolescent, and Matthew Guerra, a 22-year-old boyfriend, were discovered dead in a vehicle in San Antonio, Texas, in a tragic turn of events that police are investigating as a possible murder. The couple was found inside the Kia Optima located outside the Colinas at Medical Apartments, which was owned by Guerra, according to police chief Bill McManus’s confirmation.

A family member identified the corpses, which were subsequently reported to the San Antonio police, on Tuesday afternoon. The bodies are believed to be those of Soto and Guerra. Chief McManus reported that the couple seemed to have been deceased for a duration of three to four days while inside the vehicle. Soto, who was nine months pregnant at the time, had been absent since Friday, the day prior to her labor induction at the hospital.

Uncertainty surrounds the circumstances surrounding their deaths, including the cause of death and the survival status of Soto’s expectant child. Chief McManus exercised restraint in divulging specific details while additional investigation was conducted and official identification was confirmed by the medical examiner.

At 10:00 on Monday morning, the Texas Department of Transportation issued a CLEAR Alert for Soto, signifying that she potentially faced peril. Also missing was Guerra, who was residing with Soto at the moment of her disappearance.

On social media, Soto’s family had voiced apprehensions regarding Guerra, alleging that he had mistreated the young expectant mother. In a Facebook post, Soto’s sister-in-law urged her to return home to ensure her and her expectant child’s safety. Conversely, in a since-deleted post, Guerra’s mother defended her son, asserting her conviction that he would refrain from causing damage to Soto.

The community is astounded by this occurrence, which has prompted inquiries into the circumstances that transpired prior to the unfortunate demise of the young couple. As the investigation continues, additional information is anticipated.
