Congressional investigators may have found the smoking gun on leaks from the Russia investigation and it should come as no surprise that alleged perpetrators were Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, both members of the team led by dirty cop, Robert Mueller.
Investigators are examining messages between the two lovers and it is fairly apparent that they leaked at least one story and in all likelihood several more.
In the text messages, they would talk about a story, mentioning the outlet and the reporter before the article made it into print. they even discussed how they could pretend that they stumbled onto the article so they could share it with the members of their team. This is the smoking gun that could land people in prison.
“Article is out, but hidden behind paywall so can’t read it,” Page texted Strzok on Oct. 24, 2016.
“Wsj? Boy that was fast,” Strzok texted back, using the initials of the famed financial newspaper. “Should I ‘find’ it and tell the team?”
The text messages, which were reviewed by The Hill, show the two FBI agents discussed how they might make it appear they innocently discovered the article, such as through Google News alerts.
Strzok said:
“I can get it like I do every other article that hits any Google News alerts, seriously.”
Strzok said he wanted to make it seem he had gotten the article from someone else. The timing was just right if you wanted to interfere in an election, less than 2 weeks before election day. Obviously, they bombed out as bad as their candidate did.
While these texts do not prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt, both are to testify before Congress and these texts are bound to be a lot of questions asked about them and they’d better have some really good answers if they want to keep their pensions and their freedom. The inspector general of the DOJ is conducting his own investigation into these two.
But that report is not due out for a couple of more months and both will be testifying this month unless they take the Fifth, which would be a disaster for them and the FBI.
I’m lovin’ it.
