President Trump says he has gotten a lot of complaints about Twitter shadow banning conservatives on its site. Twitter says nothing about their algorithm is political, but they can’t explain why it only affects conservatives.
I believe Twitter. Why? Just the other day, I thought about it as I waited for my hired hand to saddle my unicorn. Therefore, I could go to Valhalla for a luncheon meeting with Odin and Thor. It was then I realized they must be telling the truth. I mean, surely no social media platform would favor liberals over conservatives, would they?
President Donald Trump attacked Twitter for allegedly banning several prominent Republican officials and prominent conservatives on its platform, in a Thursday tweet.
“Twitter ‘SHADOW BANNING’ prominent Republicans,” Trump tweeted. “Not good. We will look into this discriminatory and illegal practice at once! Many complaints.”
Trump referenced a Wednesday report from Vice News which details how prominent Republican officials such as GOP chairman Ronna McDaniel are not being featured in search results for users. The report cited a similar effect on a spokesman for First Son Donald Trump Jr.
Twitter defended its service in a comment to Vice saying that some users were incorrectly identified by its algorithm, though a review of accounts run by prominent Democrats and Liberals did not show a similar effect.

“VICE sheds light on the practice of Twitter shadow banning conservatives from the search bar. I have noticed this for weeks now when trying to get to @chuckrossdc‘s TL”

I’m not going to hold my breath on anything happening. On a personal note, I’ve experienced the sting of Twitter myself and have pretty much steered clear of the platform, at least professionally. As a conservative opinion publication, we here at Steadfast Loyalty certain get no love from the platform.
