President Trump Takes On John Kerry Like Only He Can

Late last week it was revealed that John Kerry was working a shadow government ion the lousy Iran deal he negotiated. (When I say negotiated I mean folded on every issue) He has been meeting with Iranian officials and other leaders in countries such as France and Germany.

Both US Law (The Logan Act) and the Constitution forbids him from engaging in the negotiations especially when it involves an enemy of the United States (Iran) and goes against policy set by the president of the United States. By rights, he should be sitting in a jail cell right at this moment and if we had an AG who wasn’t comatose, he probably would be.

The Boston Globe revealed last week John Kerry has been secretly engaging in unusual and most likely illegal shadow diplomacy with Iranian leaders in an effort to salvage the nuclear deal he helped craft.

He [John Kerry] sat down at the United Nations with Foreign Minister Javad Zarif to discuss ways of preserving the pact limiting Iran’s nuclear weapons program. It was the second time in about two months that the two had met to strategize over salvaging a deal they spent years negotiating during the Obama administration, according to a person briefed on the meetings.

“The United States does not need John Kerry’s possibly illegal Shadow Diplomacy on the very badly negotiated Iran Deal. He was the one that created this MESS in the first place!”

In United States v. Curtiss-Wright Export Corp., 299 U.S. 304 (1936), Justice Sutherland, writing for the Court, observed,

“[T]he President alone has the power to speak or listen as a representative of the nation. He makes treaties with the advice and consent of the Senate, but he alone negotiates. Into the field of negotiation, the Senate cannot intrude; and Congress itself is powerless to invade it. As Marshall said in his great argument of March 7, 1800, in the House of Representatives, ‘The President is the sole organ of the nation in its external relations and its sole representative with foreign nations.’

So why do liberals think they can get away with anything? Because they can. Have no doubt, if this was a Republican, he would be in prison waiting to go to Ft Leavenworth right at this moment.
