AG Bill Barr’s special prosecutor John Durham spent eight hours questioning former Obama/Biden CIA chief John Brennan on a wide array of topics pertaining to the origins of the investigations of President Trump that turned out to be hoaxes. Specifically, he was asked about the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) which contained two pages of findings from the fake Steele dossier.
It is said that James Comey and Andrew McCabe lobbied to get it included in the ICA despite the fact that CIA analysts did not want it in the report because it was nothing more than internet rumor. The FBI won out but why did Brennan concede when his own people argued against it?
Nick Shapiro, the Brennan adviser, said:
“Brennan was informed by Mr. Durham that he is not a subject or a target of a criminal investigation and that he is only a witness to events that are under review.”
“Brennan also told Durham that the repeated efforts of Donald Trump & William Barr to politicize Mr. Durham’s work have been appalling & have tarnished the independence & integrity of the Department of Justice, making it difficult for DoJ professionals to carry out their job.”

Earlier today Brennan was interviewed by US Attorney John Durham on issues related to Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. 1/8

Let me point out that if Durham had admitted that Brennan was a target, he could not be forced to answer questions. When OJ was first questioned by the police, he was told he was not a target either.
Attorney General William Barr has said Durham is also investigating whether Russian intelligence operatives somehow fed disinformation to Steele.
Barr has provided few details about Durham’s investigation, though he has said that the findings so far are “troubling.” He said in an interview on Aug. 13 that there will likely be “significant” developments in the Durham probe before the election.
