Protesters Disrupt High School Event Over Transgender Sports Participation

An event at a California high school on Saturday was reportedly disrupted by protesters opposed to transgender students participating in female sports.

The Daily Mail claimed on Sunday that several transgender runners who had registered for the event did not show up.

A video posted to the Women Are Real Facebook page suggests that a California Interscholastic Federation official asked the group to leave during the state track and field championships.

In accordance with its stated objective, “The CIF governs interscholastic athletics, promoting equity, quality, character, and academic development,”

At the rally, participants waved banners reading things like “Protect Female Sports” and “Speak Up for Girls.”

The account said that CIF is “terrified” of women carrying placards in one of its posts. Because we were holding a sign that read “Protect Female Sports,” they threatened to call off the entire competition. Boys have the option of competing against girls in CIF.

In the video, a man can be heard warning the crowd that the officials are going to end the meet because of their flags and cheering.

Away from the stadium. We’re calling a halt to the entire meet, he says. Then everybody gets out of their chairs. As for the recording device, the man orders its owner to “put it away.”

Fans of the movement were quick to voice their opinions on the matter, with one user commenting, “They should have just stopped the meeting then. Boys shouldn’t be pitted against girls in sports!

    Others praised what they did.

“Excellent job. In 2023, I will be in Glasgow to watch the global track cycling championships. If UCI doesn’t fix its trans policy soon, I may have to follow your lead,” the user added.

I’m quite pleased with you all. “Excellent,” he remarked one more time.
