At the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Taylor Swift, the internationally renowned music artist, experienced an unpleasant encounter with some Baltimore Ravens fans. Swift, who attended the game at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore in support of her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was subjected to heckling by a Ravens fan captured in a video shared on Instagram by Autumn Kennedy.
In the video, as Swift walked through the back hallways of the stadium, a fan can be heard yelling at her, accusing her of “ruining football.” The situation escalated as another fan screamed obscenities at her. The video also showed one particularly irate fan shouting an expletive-laden comment.
Despite the hostile reception, Swift appeared undeterred, seen smiling and waving to fans. She was accompanied by Brittany Mahomes, wife of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and they were joined by Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, Mahomes’ younger brother Jackson, and Lyndsay Bell, wife of Chiefs tight end Blake Bell.
The incident occurred as the Chiefs secured their victory against the Ravens with a score of 17-10, earning their spot in Super Bowl 2024 against the San Francisco 49ers. This marks Kansas City’s second consecutive Super Bowl appearance and the franchise’s fourth in the past five seasons.
Swift, who met Kelce on the field after the game, celebrated the Chiefs’ win with a kiss. The “Cruel Summer” singer supported the team by wearing a gold necklace with the Chiefs’ logo and a ring bearing Kelce’s number 87, along with a gold diamond bracelet with the initials “TNT,” signifying Travis and Taylor.
Despite her busy schedule, including a concert in Tokyo the day before the Super Bowl, Swift is expected to attend the NFL title game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Kelce delivered an impressive performance during the game, with 11 receptions for 116 receiving yards and one touchdown, breaking Jerry Rice’s all-time postseason catch records. Swift and Kelce, both 34, have been publicly linked since September, going official with their relationship the following month.
