A 91-page document released by the Republican-led House Oversight Committee alleges that former President Joe Biden’s inner circle withheld evidence of his declining mental and physical capacity, staged public appearances, lightened his workload and restricted access to him during his final months in office.
The report highlights the use of an autopen device to sign numerous executive actions, including pardons, and questions whether these were ultimately authorized by Biden himself. It also raises concerns about senior aides who invoked the Fifth Amendment during depositions and a White House physician who declined to testify publicly.
The committee has referred the matter to the Justice Department for potential investigation, while Biden’s team maintains he personally approved every decision made during his presidency.
