Law enforcement officials in Texas have stated that many victims and the perpetrator have perished.

More than one person was slain on Saturday afternoon at Allen Premium Outlets.

The Collin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to Fox News that officers from the Allen Police Department were there. The exact death toll is unknown, although many were lost.

At a press conference on Saturday night, Police Chief Brian Harvey claimed that a nearby officer was diverted to another call when shots were fired at 3:36 p.m. at Allen Premium Outlets.

Officer “engaged the suspect and neutralized the threat,” authorities said. Fox News was told by a law enforcement official that the suspect in the shooting has been killed.

Nine individuals were transferred to local hospitals, according to Harvey, although he did not specify how many of them later died. Fox News has not been able to substantiate a report by local station WFAA-TV that some of the victims were youngsters.

The ATF Dallas Field Division tweeted early on Saturday that they were responding to a firearms incident. The FBI had agents present as well.

At least 30 bullets were fired, Operations Administrator Joshua W. Barnwell told FOX 4 Dallas, and he spotted roughly 60 spent shell casings on the ground.

While shopping, a woman and her daughter heard loud explosions and saw sparks flying.

While standing outside the Converse store with her husband, Elaine Penicaro told FOX 4 that they heard a loud explosion. Suddenly, everyone seemed to freeze, and then from just in front of us came the sound of a series of loud explosions accompanied by the sight of sparks soaring through the air.

The Allen Police Department issued a Twitter warning for residents and visitors to avoid the area.

According to the statement, “there are police officers at Allen Premium Outlets. “An investigation is presently underway.” We ask that you avoid the area until further notice.

The Allen Police Department has not replied to many requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
