Reports that a “noose” was found at the site of Obama’s library construction have been called into question by conservatives.

The perpetrator will not only face legal consequences but will also be eligible for a cash prize of $100,000.

Construction at the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago was momentarily delayed after a noose was reportedly discovered there, prompting dubious remarks from conservatives on social media.

Conservative commentator Matt Walsh responded sarcastically on Twitter to a report in the New York Post that employees at the former president’s library had been suspended after a noose was allegedly discovered when doing an office cleanout.

For the life of me, I can’t think of any constructive use for a rope on a building site. There must be one because of this. We’re stationed in the Windy City. False reports of hate crimes are uncommon. The following was also added for Walsh’s information.

Walsh was alluding to the fake hate crime that occurred in Chicago in 2019 when Empire actor Jussie Smollett said he was attacked by two Trump supporters while it was snowing. It was determined that Smollet had orchestrated the attack on himself.

At only $3,500, Alex, I’ll take “hate crime hoaxes” from Townhall writer Scott Morefield.

Tweeted author Dinesh D’Souza: “This is obviously a #FakeNoose.”

Fox News commentator Lisa Boothe replied with a “Surreeeee” on Twitter.

According to the New York Post, when workers found a noose at the site on Thursday morning, the business in charge of building the $830 million presidential complex, Lakeside Alliance, immediately suspended construction and informed authorities.

We are appalled that this happened on our platform and are offering a $100,000 reward for information that helps us find and bring to justice those involved. In a recent interview, a Lakeside Alliance official underlined the company’s dedication to fostering an environment where all workers feel safe expressing their true selves on the job.

The Obama Foundation termed it “a despicable act of cowardice” in the New York Post, and Illinois Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker described it as “a heart-stopping reminder of the brutality and horror perpetrated on Black Americans for decades.”

Fox News Digital’s request for comment from the Chicago Police Department went unanswered for some time.
