It has been reported that several Republicans in the Senate have begun negotiations with illegal immigrants currently enrolled in and eligible for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. At the same time, Democrats in the House and Senate, supported by corporate special interest allies, hope to pass an amnesty in the lame-duck Congress.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants and free-borders activists descended on Washington, DC, to lobby 10 Republican senators into voting with Democrats on an amnesty that would grant them green cards and eventual naturalization before the GOP takes control of the House.

According to Politico, Republican senators John Cornyn (TX), Mike Lee (UT), Mike Rounds (SD), and Pat Toomey (PA) met with DACA recipients to discuss amnesty options.

It has been announced that over 300 Dreamers, DACA recipients, and advocates for immigration reform will travel to Washington this week to kick off their “lame duck” effort to pass immigration reform before the current administration leaves office. From New York and Florida to Nevada and California in the west. [Italics added]

It will involve dozens, if not hundreds, of meetings with lobbyists, business and religious leaders, White House officials, and lawmakers on both sides of the aisle. The event has been designated as the “Week of Action” by advocates for immigration reform. Senators from both parties have agreed to meet with various advocacy groups: Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey, Senator Alex Padilla of California, and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada; and Republican Senators John Cornyn of Texas, Senator Mike Rounds of South Dakota, Senator Mike Lee of Utah, and Senator Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania. Businesses would rather hire low-wage foreign workers than the millions of unemployed Americans, so business lobbyists are pushing hard for a DACA amnesty.

Multinational corporations, tech companies, and megabanks have almost annually lobbied for amnesty through corporate political action committees (PACs). In the last four election cycles, they have given thousands of dollars to Cornyn, Lee, Rounds, and Toomey.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is being accused of asking ten Republican senators to join Senate Democrats in supporting the DREAM Act, which would grant amnesty to at least 3.3 million DACA illegal aliens, at a news conference this week.

To the contrary, Schumer exposed the Democrats’ “ultimate objective” as amnesty for the 11–22 million illegal aliens currently living in the United States at the expense of American taxpayers.

As Schumer put it, “We have a population that is not reproducing on its own at the same level as it used to,” Opening our arms to immigrants, DREAMers, and everyone else is the only way for America to have a bright future.

At a separate press conference, Democratic Texas Representative Joaquin Castro urged Republican Texas Senator John Cornyn and Independent Texas Senator Ted Cruz to support an amnesty for DACA illegal aliens, calling it “imperative” in the lame-duck Congress because House Republicans would likely block such a measure next year.

Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), the Minority Leader and a possible future Speaker of the House, has made it clear he will not support any amnesty proposals for illegal immigrants.

According to a report published by Breitbart News last year, granting amnesty to anywhere from 10 million to 19 million illegal aliens would cause a surge of chain migration in which naturalized citizens could bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the United States.

Already, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that after an amnesty, at least one in seven DACA illegal aliens would enroll in Medicaid, costing American taxpayers at least $115 billion.
