RFK JR Will Not Join Donald Trump 2024 Ticket

Robert Kennedy Jr., the Democratic presidential candidate, has quashed any rumors of joining forces with former President Donald Trump for the 2024 general election. Despite taking to social media to dispel such rumors, Kennedy reiterated his stance, stating that their views on fundamental issues, government methods, and leadership philosophies are diametrically opposite.

The announcement comes on the heels of a recent Rasmussen Reports poll that shows Kennedy garnering support from both parties and independent voters. While voters remain divided between a Trump-Kennedy or a Biden-Harris combination, Democrats favor the Biden-Harris ticket over Kennedy and Marianne Williamson.

According to the poll results, in a hypothetical three-way race between Trump, Kennedy, Biden, and Vice President Kamala Harris, 44% of likely voters would choose Trump over Kennedy, while 44% would choose Biden over Harris. The remaining 7% would opt for someone else, and 5% remain undecided. Republicans (72%), Democrats (14%), and independents (44%) all seem to support the Biden-Harris ticket.

Kennedy’s apparent populist agenda seems to coincide with the poll’s timing. In contrast to his party’s more extreme members, Kennedy rejects some of the narratives promoted by them. For instance, he recently argued that one could be “pro-immigration AND pro-closing the border.” Kennedy believes that while the United States should welcome all law-abiding immigrants who enrich the country’s culture, immigration must be properly managed in accordance with the law.

The current situation at the border is chaotic, and Kennedy characterizes it as a “humanitarian nightmare” on social media. The United States has witnessed nearly five million border crossers and illegal aliens entering the country since President Biden took office. The resulting strain on border states like Texas has led to human trafficking, crime, and other untenable problems. As such, Kennedy believes that while the country should be a land of liberty and prosperity, proper immigration management is necessary to maintain the country’s safety and prosperity.
