Ronnie Winter, lead singer of alternative rock group Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, has barred supporters of former President Trump from attending his shows—permanently. In an Instagram announcement, Winter stated that anyone who voted for Trump is “not allowed… forever” at his performances, regardless of the individuals’ Christian faith or past attendance.
Winter emphasized his concerts promote “acceptance from all areas of life and races,” signaling that those who don’t align with his message of inclusivity are unwelcome. He offered refunds to ticket holders who support Trump, and invoked the band’s hit, “Face Down,” declaring it “not your song.”
Labeling himself as “proudly woke,” Winter defended his stance, saying recent events have validated the concerns raised by progressive voices. In a follow-up post, he clarified the ban stemmed more from frustration with certain mainstream Christian views than politics alone; nonetheless, his message remains firm.
This bold move adds to a wave of artists publicly rejecting Trump affiliations. Musicians like Bruce Springsteen, Tom Morello, and Neil Young have also criticized Trump and his policies in recent months.
