Rosie O’Donnell is continuing her outspoken criticism of President Donald Trump even after relocating to Ireland earlier this year, a move she has said was prompted by political tensions in the United States.
The comedian revealed that the transition has been difficult for her family, noting that her daughter remains upset about leaving home and blames Trump for the upheaval. O’Donnell has also admitted that despite attempting to take breaks from commenting on the President, she quickly returned to speaking out after his renewed verbal attacks on the media.
Friends say they have urged her to step back for the sake of her wellbeing, concerned that the ongoing feud is consuming her attention and adding stress to her personal life. O’Donnell, however, maintains that she feels a responsibility to use her voice and intends to continue responding whenever she believes Trump’s actions warrant pushback.
Her move overseas has not dampened her political commentary, and those close to her say that distance has done little to reduce her passion for criticizing the administration or advocating for causes she supports.
