Samuel Alito, a Justice with the U.S. Supreme Court, has officially made the choice to pull out of a public appearance Thursday as a result of the insane leak of a SCOTUS draft majority decision in a case that may end up causing a reversal of the landmark Roe v. Wade case in which it was determines that abortion was a Constitutional right.
Alito was slated to participate in a judicial conference that was meant to start on Thursday out in Nashville, Tennessee. Patricia McCabe, a spokeswoman for the Supreme Court, gave no indication as to why Alito chose to cancel his appearance when questioned about the topic by Reuters, but further investigation into the leak is still being carried out and quite a few on the far-left are screaming for more protests and attempting to incite violence against five SCOTUS justices who chose to sign Alito’s draft opinion.
“Seriously, shout out to whoever the hero was within the Supreme Court who said ‘f*** it! Let’s burn this place down,’” stated Ian Millhiser, a senior correspondent at the far-left news site Vox, via a tweet.
Since the leak, Twitter has been inundated with vitriol targeting Alito and the other four justices who reportedly agreed with his opinion who were: Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett. Nominally a member of the court’s more conservative wing, Chief Justice John Roberts, reportedly chose not to sign the opinion.
This past Wednesday, one far-left activist group that has named itself “Ruth Sent Us” called on protesters to storm “the homes of the six extremist justices, three in Virginia and three in Maryland.” The website for the group went on to list the street names, but not the actual house numbers, of where each justice lives.

Both Thomas and Roberts were slated to make appearances to speak on both Thursday and Friday at the 11th Circuit’s judicial conference in Atlanta, read a report from Reuters. It was unclear at the time if those scheduled appearances had been canceled.
The outrageous leak of this draft shocked the nation and resparked a massively long-running argument about abortion. This opinion would finally decide the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case, which is a challenge to a standing law in Mississippi that heavily restricts the federal right to abortion that was granted by the Roe decision that came previously. Alito stated that Roe and the case that came as a response to it, Planned Parenthood v. Casey, Which made the decision to uphold the previous decision, must both be overturned and that the right for the state to choose to deny, allow, or restrict the right to an abortion must reside with states.
“Roe was egregiously wrong from the start,” stated part of the the98-page opinion. “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision.”

Roberts has also taken steps to launch an FBI-level investigation concerning the leak, which many think was carried out solely to put pressure on the justices to forcibly change their mind before formally releasing their choices on the case, which is slated to take place in the coming weeks.
“The leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion on Roe is a dangerous obstruction of justice,” stated the president of Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, in a release. “And, it could very well lead to intimidation and violence directed at Supreme Court justices. This unprecedented leak fits with the Left’s continued assault against the Supreme Court.”
