A Somali-run daycare center in Minnesota was burglarized overnight, with intruders making off with crucial business records and administrative documents, authorities confirmed.

The break-in was discovered early in the morning when staff arrived to open the facility. Investigators found evidence that the door had been forced and several filing cabinets containing sensitive paperwork were emptied. Police say the stolen materials include enrollment records, financial documents, and other key files necessary for the center’s daily operations.

Local law enforcement is actively investigating the incident and has urged anyone with information to come forward. Officers canvassed the neighborhood for surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts as part of their ongoing efforts to identify the suspects.

The daycare’s leadership expressed deep concern about the disruption and the potential misuse of the stolen information. They have temporarily adjusted operations while working to recover or replace the lost documents and ensure the safety of the children and families they serve.

Community members rallied around the center in the wake of the crime, offering support as staff scrambled to secure backup records and maintain continuity of care. The investigation remains open as police continue to follow leads and review evidence in hopes of making an arrest.
