South Korean President Moon Jae-In says that in talks with North Korea, the North has expressed a desire to remove all nukes from the Korean peninsula.
He also says they are not asking for any conditions that would be a deal breaker such as the United States leaving South Korea first. North Korea is feeling the weight of sanctions against it and would probably be willing to denuclearize with guarantees of lifting the sanctions, ending hostilities and guaranteeing their security.
That would be no problem at all as long as we can observe the nukes being dismantled and disposed of.

North Korea has expressed its desire for “complete denuclearization” of the Korean peninsula and is not seeking conditions such as U.S. troops withdrawing from the South first, South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Thursday.
Moon said big-picture agreements about the normalization of relations between the two Koreas and the United States should not be difficult to reach through planned summits between North and South, and between the North and the United States, in a bid to rein in the North’s nuclear and missile programs.
“North Korea is expressing a will for a complete denuclearization,” Moon told reporters.
“They have not attached any conditions that the U.S. cannot accept, such as the withdrawal of American troops from South Korea. All they are expressing is the end of hostile policies against North Korea, followed by a guarantee of security.”
The North and South Koreas have been having talks and it appears that the two sides will finally declare the Korean War is over. That would be 65 years after the official ceasefire.
It’s likely that North Korea will still defend its borders in order to keep people from defecting but as long as they don’t threaten any other country that would be acceptable.
