Steven Crowder doubled down after a disturbing video of him shouting at his pregnant wife went viral.
Friday afternoon, the political expert uploaded a video to social media titled “my statement.” He continued his attacks on his ex-wife Hilary in this latest piece.
He claimed that she ‘edited’ video of him abusing her while she was eight months pregnant and released it to the media.
“Breakups are ugly, and people do ugly things when they happen,” Crowder stated on Friday, in what seemed like a last-ditch effort to justify his behavior.
And he vowed to unseal their medical records, mental health history, and depositions himself if the Texas courts didn’t.
It comes after a video surfaced the day before showing him refusing to let Hilary use the family car so she could run out and buy food for their unborn twins.
His wife’s family released a statement saying that this was evidence of the abuse she had to keep hidden from them for so long as she sought to fix their damaged marriage.
In a video posted on his Twitter account, Crowder said, “I talked about my ongoing divorce on Tuesday and asked for privacy for the sake of my family and because of a court order that everyone agreed to.”
Relationships that end in failure are terrible. I would never pretend that horrible things don’t happen in people’s homes.
Recent leaks to the tabloid press, which were edited in a way that created the false impression, were taken out of context, and the leakers faced no repercussions from the court, make privacy seem like a distant second to the truth.
In light of this, I have moved that all documents related to the case be made available to the public.
Money matters, mental health exams and other medical documents, depositions, and legal proceedings in Texas.
“I will NOT give private information about your marriage to the press,” he said, “but if the privacy agreements aren’t followed by all parties, then I will talk about it next week in full context because it will be on the record and can’t be changed.”
