Strzok Hoped To Capitalize On Dossier News Reports, According To Latest Text Reveal

It seems our “favorite” deep state FBI agent Peter Strzok took his text messaging seriously… what DIDN’T that guy talk about in them?

The latest reveal shows that Strzok himself planned to capitalize on Trump dossier-related news reports in January 2017, wanting to use a report by CNN related to the now infamous dossier to interview key witnesses as part of the FBI’s ongoing investigation regarding alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government.

“Sitting with Bill watching CNN. A TON more out,” Strzok, a former FBI counterintelligence official, texted to FBI lawyer Lisa Page on Jan. 10, 2017. “Hey let me know when you can talk. We’re discussing whether, now that this is out, we use it as a pretext to go interview some people,” continued Strzok, according to a CNN report published Friday.

Before sending this message, however, Strzok reported to then-top government officials (including then-FBI Director James Comey) as well as then-President-elect Donald Trump on January 6th, 2016 regarding some of the details alleged against him in the document.

It gets deeper… after CNN reported about this briefing BuzzFeed News actually published the unverified dossier… IN FULL!

As reported by The Daily Caller:

Strzok took part in some of those interviews as the FBI’s lead investigator on the probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. He and another FBI agent interviewed then-National Security Advisor Michael Flynn on Jan. 24, 2017. Flynn has since pleaded guilty to lying in that interview about his contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Strzok’s text would seem to be at odds with FBI leaderships’ concerns ahead of the publication of the dossier.

Comey wrote in a Jan. 7, 2017, email to FBI leadership that he told Trump that he was providing the briefing about the dossier because “media like CNN had [the dossier] and were looking for a news hook.”

“I said it was inflammatory stuff that they would get killed for reporting straight up from the source reports,” Comey continued.

On Jan. 8, 2017, then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe wrote to senior FBI leadership that “CNN is close to going forward with the sensitive story … The trigger for them [CNN] is they know the material was discussed in the brief and presented in an attachment.”

It’s clear that at least some part of our own intel agencies had it out for then-presidential hopeful Donald Trump. But does the buck stop with Strzok? We’ll see…
