Tyler Robinson, 22, accused in the assassination of Charlie Kirk, is reported to have maintained a strong interest in the “furry” internet subculture. Social media accounts and gaming platforms under his aliases suggest ties to that community. One bullet casing connected to the crime was allegedly inscribed with internet meme-style wording associated with the “furry” fandom.
Robinson’s live-in partner, Lance Twiggs, who is transgender, has made political posts online in support of President Biden. Twiggs is cooperating with investigators.
Robinson, who grew up in a conservative Christian family in Utah, is said to have distanced himself from the faith. Former classmates described him as quiet and socially reserved. Authorities are continuing to examine his ideological influences and whether his online behavior or personal associations played a role in the shooting.
