A young woman was assaulted while eating at a McDonald’s in Southern California, and footage of the incident is now going viral. Witnesses opted to capture the fight rather than intervene when it broke out in front of them, therefore the battle was caught on camera.
Kassidy Jones revealed in an interview that on September 6, after coming home from school, she and many of her classmates went to the fast-food establishment. The girl, who is just 13 years old, claims that the incident occurred at that specific place and that an unidentified woman approached her and then began abusing her.
“What on earth are you all staring at in the name of the Almighty? I have a problem with young folks. Kassidy is able to recall the words said by the woman to her, which were “I fight you.”
Kassidy said that she did not know the suspect, who is shown in the tape dragging Kassidy to the ground, punching her, and yanking her by her hair. Kassidy also maintained that she did not know the culprit. While having her hair pulled, Kassidy found that she was also being dragged by her hair.
Screaming can be heard coming from the audience, and numerous members of the audience can be seen photographing the scene on their mobile devices. The only other person who was seen running to Kassidy’s help after the attack was a man who was reported to be accompanying the suspect. Kassidy was severely injured as a result of the incident.
The moment Kassidy’s mother realized anything was wrong, she dialed 911 and rushed her daughter to the nearest hospital emergency department. A snapshot taken after the occurrence showed that she had experienced both swelling and bruises as a result of what had occurred.
“We were astounded to learn about this horrible incident, and our thoughts and prayers are with Kassidy and her family at this trying time. Tawnie Blade, the owner and operator of the McDonald’s business, indicated that staff called the police as soon as the conflict began, and they continue to work closely with local law officials to assist them with their investigation. “We’re continuing to cooperate closely with local law enforcement to help them with their investigation,”
An officer with the Los Angeles Police Department has validated that a report of battery was taken, but there is no other information that can be provided at this time.
The reports coming out of the neighborhood media indicate that nobody has been taken into custody at this yet.
According to a report from CBS Los Angeles, the suspect will allegedly be prosecuted for acts of aggression as well as allegations of mistreating a child after she has been arrested.
