The most recent polling is all good news for President Trump as Mueller has lost all credibility with the public and the majority of the voters say Mueller’s investigation needs to be shut down.
The people were amazed at how much money has been wasted on the Russian collusion hoax. The poll that spoke to 1,000 people showed strong support for the president and a lot of suspicion for Comey and Mueller.
By a margin of 51 percent to 33 percent, voters do not believe Mueller has found “real evidence of corruption by the president.”
More specifically, by a margin of 10 points, 43 percent to 33 percent, voters feel that Mueller has not uncovered any evidence that “President Trump colluded with Russia to influence the 2016 election.”
A plurality of voters, 43 percent to 35 percent, said that Mueller’s investigation has “overstepped its designated purpose to investigate links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Trump by investigating individuals who had nothing to do with Russia.”
The poll also shows that voters are losing patience with Mueller’s probe.
Asked if they think “the investigation being conducted by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller has gone on for too long and cost too much,” voters agreed by a 20 point margin, 52 percent to 32 percent.
I find a few things interesting in the polls. Although everyone involved say there is no evidence of any wrong doing by President Trump, 33% still believe there has been. That’s like a poll finding that 33% believe the moon is made of green cheese. Or 33% believing Obama was a good president. Both are ridiculous assertions.By a ten point margin, voters say that Trump’s critics are trying to shut down his agenda, 50-40%.
The most surprising thing in the poll is the generic congressional vote. It favors Democrats but by a tiny margin of 43.8 to 43.3%.
So much for the blue wave.
