The Next Big Move Against Comey and Lynch Just Began

Ty Clevenger has pressed disbarment charges against James Comey and renewed charges against Loretta Lynch after the release of the FISA memo along with other evidence of abuse of power and lying to Congress.

Clevenger cited Comey’s testimony before Congress that he didn’t decide to exonerate Hillary Clinton until after she was questioned by the FBI in July of 2016.

But in fact, he started writing his exoneration speech two months before. That was discovered from released emails that showed that Comey sent his draft letter to subordinates in May asking for feedback. Lawyers are considered officers of the court, so perjury is a serious crime.

Clevenger reminded the New York Bar Association that they disbarred Nixon after Watergate for lying.

    From The Washington Times

“Insofar as Mr. Comey gave materially false testimony to Congress, it appears that he violated Rules 1.0(w), 3.3(a)(1), and 8.4 of the New York Rules of Professional Conduct,” Mr. Clevenger wrote.

He also asked to renew grievances in New York against former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, saying Mr. Comey’s claim that she tried to pressure him to downplay the Clinton probe should subject her to scrutiny.

The state grievance committee had deferred an investigation in January, saying there were ongoing probes by Congress and they would await the outcome.

Clevenger has already won a court order in Maryland for the Maryland Bar Association to investigate three of Hillary’s lawyers for destroying evidence in the Hillary email scandal. The named lawyers are David E. Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson.

    From The Washington Times

A Maryland judge ordered the state bar to open an investigation Monday into the three lawyers who helped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delete her private emails.

But Judge Harris said Mr. Clevenger’s request appears to have merit and that Maryland will have to at least launch an investigation and demand a response from the lawyers, Mr. Clevenger said.

Mr. Clevenger said he won another victory in recent days when the Justice Department agreed that his case met the threshold of intense public interest.

Considering the politics of New York and Maryland, I don’t have much faith that justice will be done. My guess is that both will pull a Comey and exonerate all no matter what the evidence. It will, however, expose their bias.
