The NFL has announced that it will ban fans from future games who make any remark that they deem as racially insensitive.
The new policy comes after a fan and player Terrell Pryor exchanged words. Pryor alleges that the fan called him the “n-word” while heading toward the locker room which is what he says lead to the now-viral video.
Terrell Pryor released a statement via his Instagram account to explain his side of the story.
It reads…
“Being called (the N-word) several times to the point where an NFL employee had to step to me and stand by me the whole game from the 2nd quarter on is the exact reason why guys are kneeling during anthem. I choose not to kneel because as a team we decided to be the one and stand … but as I walked in tunnel hearing some one call me (the N-word) and say F you to me..me flicking the person off is more deserving. I do apologize to my teammates and the organization. But at some point you keep calling us The N Word .. we going to start acting up. #straightlikethat.”
Hey… if the NFL wants to do that, it’s their business. I’m not saying that a lot of fans, etc.. are racist but I don’t think it’s going to have the effect that they want. In my opinion, because they’ll be allowed to deem what is racist, this has the potential to really alienate a lot of hardcore fans who simply get pissed off.

Both of those instances happened at the same game – the Monday Night Football game between the Redskins and Chiefs.
On the opening drive of the game, Kansas City defensive back Marcus Peters gave up a 44-yard touchdown to Washington receiver Terrell Pryor. Understandably so, Peters was visibly upset after giving up the big scoring play.
When he made it back to the sideline, a Chiefs fan shouted something (probably less than motivational) at him. Instead of ignoring the heckler, Marcus Peters snapped. “F*ck you, b*tch!” he screamed at the fan, before slamming his helmet to the ground.
