Police in Boston allegedly apprehended Jared Dowell, the 23-year-old son of House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-MA), after finding him painting anti-police graffiti on a historical site. Dowell is facing charges of both assault and disorderly conduct.
The Boston Cops Department released a statement saying that on Saturday night, officers observed Dowell spray-painting the Parkman Bandstand on the Boston Common with the words “NO COP CITY” and “ACAB,” an acronym for “all police are bastards.”
About 20 demonstrators approached them, according to the police report, “while yelling obscenities through megaphones on a public roadway.” Dowell’s arrest was so violent that one officer was wounded.
Police said they arrested Dowell for assault with a dangerous weapon, criminal mischief, and vandalism. There is an active arrest warrant for him from a court in Boston, Massachusetts. The report’s unclear whether Dowell was at fault in the incident.
In the Twitterverse, it was AntifaWatch who broke the story first. Antifa is a far-left antifascist organization with a checkered past, and its members are the protagonists of this novel.
According to a forum post by AntifaWatch, Dowell quickly turned his Facebook page private after his arrest.
According to AntifaWatch, Dowell discussed Riley’s “trans name” on Facebook before he deleted the account.
In a statement released late Sunday night, Clark, the second-highest ranking Democrat in the House, said that her “daughter” Riley had been detained.
Clark stated, “I adore Riley, and this is a scary part of the cycle of joy and suffering that comes with being a parent. The police arrested my daughter in Boston, Massachusetts, last night. The judicial system will figure this out, I’m sure.
In a speech she delivered in 2021 before she voted for the Equality Act, Clark said she would raise a “nonbinary” kid. Clark states that even though she and her husband, Rodney Dowell, have been trying to conceive for some years, they will be able to do so in 2020.
Dowell’s enthusiasm for politics extends beyond the upcoming weekend’s election. Clark allegedly remarked, “I remember when my middle child, Dowell, had nightmares about climate change,” during a December appearance on Meet the Press. The movies submitted by RNC Research provided the source material for this analysis.
The Clark administration has yet to respond to many requests for comment.
