The Transportation Security Administration publicly humiliated one passenger who tried to smuggle a weapon in a raw chicken (TSA).
On Monday, TSA posted a pun-filled Instagram snap, complete with many photos of the banned products and the raw chicken, and a warning to passengers that TSA inspectors will continuously be on the lookout for such “half-baked” hijinks.
The caption included a reference to the author’s own chicken.
The plot begins to unravel in our haste to prepare for Thanksgiving. We are grateful to the police officers who keep us secure this Thanksgiving. Airport code FLL, which serves both Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood, yielded one “hen, you believe it?” discovery. We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but packing a pistol in your Thanksgiving bird and taking it on the road is not a good idea. This method lacked the refinement necessary to make edible food. Both the packing and the lack of roasting were really disappointing.
Despite the rules, you still can’t bring your firearms and ammunition onto an aircraft. Read up on safe packing practices by clicking the link in our bio to avoid a potential tragedy.
The TSA said it was fine to transport the raw chicken in a cooler with ice since it had been frozen. The weapon might have been checked as baggage if it had been dismantled and placed in a protective case.
Magazines, clips, bolts, and firing pins are prohibited in carry-on bags but are allowed in checked luggage, according to the TSA website.
However, scopes for rifles and toy guns are permitted in checked bags.
Posts of clever travel jokes from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) are rather popular on Instagram. Another recent piece derives tremendous comedic value from a lost fake tooth.
Why are you obviously too upset to eat because of the airport’s misplaced luggage? Some of the facts that follow may entice you to give in. If you remember you left something on the plane after you’ve already taken off, contact the airline right away. There will be no more assistance from the tooth fairy once you’ve made it through airport security, but the lost and found will be able to help you locate your lost items. Learning about the airport is completely optional. To access your lost and found data, please visit the link in our profile.
