An antisemitic inscription, including “Death to Israel” and “Glory 2 the Martyrs,” was defaced on a structure in Washington, D.C., according to the Israeli embassy to the United States of America.
“Among other violent antisemitic graffiti observed in Washington, DC, is our backyard, which features “Death to Israel” and “Glory to our Martyrs.” #WhereIsTheOutrage? the embassy wrote in an X post on Saturday.
Graffiti was captured on film, bearing the inscriptions “Free Gaza” and “F–k Israel.”
Another piece of graffiti, in luminescent paint, featured the inscription “Gaza will emerge victorious.”On the same weekend that thousands gathered in Washington, D.C. on Saturday afternoon to march and rally in support of an armistice in the Israel-Hamas conflict and an end to U.S. aid to Israel, antisemitic graffiti was discovered. The executive director of the anti-war organization Answer Coalition, Brian Becker, argued that “disagreement with Israel’s policy does not constitute antisemitism.”
“Jews, Muslims, and Christians comprise our population.” People of all faiths and spheres of life are uniting in opposition to what we perceive to be a criminal conflict against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Becker stated to FOX 5 that dissenting with Israel’s policy does not constitute antisemitism. “A ceasefire should be an absolute necessity.” Thousands have perished in Gaza in recent weeks, with minors comprising half of the casualties. On Saturday, protestors convened in Ankara, Berlin, Paris, London, and Istanbul in an effort to demand a cessation of hostilities in Gaza.
Fox News Digital received no immediate response from the Israeli embassy to the United States or the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department regarding its request for comment.
